When Patti Chesky wrote about her fabulous color challenge card, and the fact that we couldn't see it until tonight's post..... I was a little bummed out.. It just occurred to me that I had the card if I wanted to peek a few days early and I didn't even realize it... how silly is that!?! Gorgeous color combination Patti!
I just love it when the girls do the measurements. So ~ thanks to Gretchen Barron, we love you! I'll be stealing the measurements for her gorgeous creation below (with the ice cream).
Measurements:
- Layer one -- Pumpkin Pie cardstock cut at 5.5 x 8.5", scored and folded at 4.25" to form the card base.
- Layer Two -- So Saffron cut at 4 x 5.25". Stamp the sentiment on the bottom of the card using Black Stazon Ink.
- Layer Three -- Island Oasis DSP cut at 4 x 2". Apply the different colored ribbons, spaced evenly from top to bottom.
- Layer Four -- Rose Red cut at 2.5 x 3.25"
- Layer Five -- Whisper White cut at 2.25 x 3". Clip the corners with the Ticket Corner Punch. Stamp the Ice Cream with Pumpkin Pie and Rose Red inks. Add the sprinkles with Chocolate chip Ink. Mount to the Rose Red layer and add Pumpkin Pie Brads. If the ends of the Brad prongs extend beyond the edge of your card, snip them off with your Craft & Rubber Scissors. Attach both layers to your card with Stampin' Dimensionals. Tie bows with coordinating ribbon colors.
- Layer Six -- Punch out Old Olive Cardstock with the Ornament Punch. Trim the top to make a flat bowl. Using a sponge, apply Old Olive Ink to the edges of the bowl. Attach to card with SNAIL adhesive.
- Layer Seven -- Inside of Card -- Whisper White cut at 4 x 5.25". I stamped with more Ice Cream Cone images using Creamy Caramel for the cones and adding a cherry with Real Red Ink.

Again ladies you have out done yourselves. Great cards and wonderful sketch! Hope mine stands up to the test.
ReplyDeletethanks girls for another great layout!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful thing you have going here! Me and a sister demonstrator have been participating in these challenges but have not as of yet uploaded images of our cards. It has been so much fun just getting together and seeing what we come up with! Love the inspiration! We want to share our creations with you. Neither of us have a blog... Does Mr. Linky work with pictures from Facebook. That is the only place I have where I upload photos on line. Does anyone have any ideas or advice for me and my friend?
ReplyDeleteHi Girls,
ReplyDeleteAnother great sketch challenge & the samples are lovely!
Love the sketches you all come up with. I posted my card and left out the middle ribbon or what ever choice as the designer paper I used had words and design that I did not want to cover up, I love there are choices we can make to make it all work within the sketch design. Thanks for all you do.
ReplyDeleteGreat sketch, thank you - perfectly timed, too. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteGreat sketch. I always come here when I have stampers block! Works every time!
ReplyDeleteGreat sketch to work with! Love the samples and inspiration as always!
ReplyDeleteGreat sketch again! I love the nice clean lines of it.
ReplyDeleteGreat sketch. I accidentally took a few liberties with it (sentiment moved and sizing altered) but I was inspired to do my felt zig-zag as an extra layer. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great sketch. And this is the card I've made with it.
ReplyDeleteSandra :-)
What I great sketch! Thanks for the inspiration. This is my first 411 submission--can't wait for the next one!
ReplyDeleteLove the sketch! This is the first challenge that I have participated in and I am so excited. I would love to continue to do these sketches. Thanks for the inspiration!!
ReplyDeleteI just had to make a card with this sketch. I was really appealing. The DTs cards were beautiful. Such great variety. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI just had to play along this week, however my layout is just loosely based on the sketch. I really love the Elements of Style set and just had to use it for this card. Thanks so much for the inspiration each week.

Great challenge as always! I missed the deadline by minutes! Eh, such is life-- I am reminded of the quote " I love deadlines- the sound they make as they go wooshing by is amazing!" (don't remember who said it though! Here is my link if you want to see the card anyway!
