A quick note once again to remind... we ask that you help us stay in compliance with the contract we signed by keeping this a marketing free zone. On your 411 post, please do not put a buy from me, sign up with me or post a link to buy a product. We really love playing with you every week and want to be able to continue, while honoring our contracts and keeping it fair for everyone and every company. Thank you in advance for keeping this fun for us.
This past week was an exciting one. We had our first featured artist Kerin Sylvester.
Kerin wrote an amazing tutorial on masking that I think everyone can follow and will return to time and again. Thanks again to Kerin for sharing her talents with the 411 readers.
So ~ another Saturday sketch challenge.. What do you think? I'm pretty excited as I look at the operator's cards, because they are all quite different. I'm going to copy the measurements from Lee's blog, because she is at the top this week.. I think it's nice she's on top, it was her birthday ((happy birthday to you Lee).
Measurements:
The Regal Rose Card Stock was cut at 4 1/2 x 11 and folded in half.
Layer 2: striped strip is 1 x 4
Layer 3: Chocolate Chip 2 7/8" x 3 5/8"
Layer 4: Whisper white 2 3/4" x 3 1/2"
Never played with us before?? Well, it's easy!
- Make a card
- Post it online somewhere to your blog or other online forum
- Post a link to Mr. Linky (Please be sure to link to your post and not just to your blog so we can find your post a few days later). need directions on that? Check out our posts on "how to use mr linky"
- Have some fun and leave comments for each other (and for the operators if you like their work). ~ Everyone loves comments!

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI am new to this site. I love it and had so much fun doing the sketch challenge last week. I have a quick question.
When you put the little image in the upper right corner, is that indicating that on my card I should have something in that same spot?
Thanks for clarifying.
Hi Linda! And welcome to the 411, we're glad you are enjoying it here!
ReplyDeleteYou are correct that an image on the sketch indicates that something should go there, but, since it is your interpretation of the sketch you can leave it off it that's your direction. My card for the operators team is a good example of that today.
Thanks for asking and we look forward to seeing your card!
Great sketch - nice and easy!!
ReplyDeleteI love this sketch. I already made one card based on it and I am thinking of making more. It is so simple but can be so elegant and classy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for these great sketches only just started using them recently as I often need some inspiration to get going. I have made about 4 different cards today & with 2 I combined with a colour challenge on my yahoo group Stampin Up In Oz. Thanks Kerri
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the sketch, and was glad I could find time to play. I really enjoy visiting this site, even though I don't always have time to join in.
ReplyDeleteThis was sooooooo fun! Thanks for a great layout!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this sketch! The DTs cards were so inspiring. Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteA good challenge this time, even though it looks simple.
ReplyDeleteThanks for another great sketch! It was my pleasure to create the masking tutorial last week, glad you liked it :)
ReplyDeleteOMG...I'm just too late for my entry!
