Good morning everyone!
This Wednesday we are trying out something new - a video tutorial! Now keep in mind that it's our first - so hopefully you won't laugh too hard as you are viewing it! :) We have plans for other fun video tutorials as well and already have some 'filming' upgrades in mind!
We chose to do this one on bow tying because it seems to be one of the things we operators receive questions on frequently. Having a visual reference is so much easier than written instructions for many crafters especially for a technique like this one.
Here are some of the ribbon measurements referenced in the video for you:
Taffeta Ribbon (1/2" wide) cut about 10 1/2" length
Wide Grosgrain Ribbon (5/8" wide) cut about 11 1/2" length
Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (1" wide) cut about 12 to 12 1/2" length
Also, be sure to use good scissors that are set aside only for ribbon and fabric - this helps prevent fraying.
Remember, practice makes perfect!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and we hope you enjoyed this first-ever video tutorial on our blog! If you have suggestions for future tutorials, let us know - we want to continue you to be a great resource for you!
Have fun making your beautiful bows everyone!
