Saturday Sketch Challenge 132

Happy New Year! It's a new year, and a new sketch challenge! I'll admit that this weeks challenge is especially challenging, but I'm amazed at what our "operator" artists have come up with. They are all so talented. I encourage you to play along, change up what you like, and don't over think it. Just have fun!

In a way, I like when a challenge stretches me to do something I wouldn't normally do or think of. I'm almost always happy with the result and this week's sketch is no exception.

Measurements: Well, this week is SO darn simple in some ways... I'm going to guess at Tiffany's measurements, because she's on top this week.

Layer 1: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
Layer 2: 1 x 5 1/2" and stuck to the white cardstock on the inside, to show off that beautiful heart border punch.

There is ribbon and other layers are all punched and embossed shapes from the sizzix big shot die cutting machine. She also used the spritzer tool with some markers to make a soft background.

Now it's your turn. Never played along with us before? Well, it's easy!

  1. Make a card
  2. Post it online somewhere to your blog or other online forum
  3. Post a link to Mr. Linky (Please be sure to link to your post and not just to your blog so we can find your post a few days later). need directions on that? Check out our posts on "how to use mr linky"

Take a peek at what the operators have done and please leave us some love (comments) so we know you're looking!

  1. Thanks so much for the sketch. It really did make me think beyond what I normally do. It was hard not to copy one of your designs. Your cards were wonderful.
