Let me remind you that we are drawing for blog candy this Monday. Would you like some of the pie? Check out this post and leave us some feedback to enter. Good Luck to all.
This week's sketch has a fun circle element towards the top. Take note, that this shape can be changed. You can move it so it sits on top, or leave it underneath. You can use a stamp in that spot, or whatever strikes your fancy. I think each of our operators had a very different interpretation of that circle.. Sky's the limit!
Keep in mind with any sketch challenge, it's a guide. Where you take it is up to you. After all, you are the artist!
Here's one possible set of measurements (for a card)
Layer 1: 11 x 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2" and folded in half to make your base layer.
Layer 2: 4 1/4" x 3"
Layer 3: 4 1/4" x 1/2" (or add a piece of ribbon between the layers)
Layer 4: is that circle, but again.. Get creative with this piece.
Layer 5: sits underneath layer 6 and 7. Stamp a sentiment and punch it out?
Layer 6 and 7: If you are unsure what size to cut this layer, try measuring your block of wood for your stamp and start with that measurement. Matte's can be made 1/4" larger on two sides.
And one Last MAJOR Rule for this challenge! Please have fun!
If you've never played with us before, it's as easy as 1-2-3!
- Make a card or scrapbook page using the sketch
- Post it somewhere on line (to your blog or http://www.stampinaddicts.com/)
- Link back to your post here. ~ note, please try and link to your post, not just to your blog, so we can find your post after several days have passed.
Last but not least, here are this week's samples from your 411 operators.
I spent some time this morning going through all the AWESOME comments you are leaving for us! Thank you so much for the feedback. Rest assured your operators are listening, and are already making plans to add a few more things to our blog on a regular basis. Thank you so much for responding. We are overwhelmed with the amount of love coming back and are giving thanks for you today.
It was another complicated week for picking just 5 exceptional crafters from an amazing array of gifted people! Thanks so much for playing along.
Keep in mind if you leave us your opinion this weekend, you could win some blog candy! See the post here to leave us your thoughts.

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to all our readers! The operators here at Stamping 411 wanted to take a minute to tell you how much we appreciate ALL of you who visit our blog.
Some of you play along with our challenges each week, some every so often. Some of you we KNOW look at that sketch and want to play along but never get to it – trust us, we can relate to that! And some of you are wonderful readers who just enjoy the ideas and tutorials shared.
ALL of you have played a part in the success of this blogging venture of teaching the basics of stamping and sharing what we LOVE to do. We love that you come back here time and time again to share your comments and creativity with us. It makes our hearts happy to know that you are having fun here. For all of that, we are grateful!
So grateful in fact that we have decided to do a little Thanksgiving Weekend Blog Candy Giveaway!
Yes, all seven of our operators have offered up a different THANKSGIVING GIFT to you – so here’s what YOU need to do to be entered into the giveaway……..
Leave us a comment on THIS post only and tell us what you LOVE about Stamping 411! We want to know why you come back week after week. We are also interested in hearing from you about our future together – do you want more tutorials? What kind? Would you like us to add a mid-week color challenge or other challenge? OR are you lovin’ the blog just as it is?
We will take all the feedback and comments and use it to make Stamping 411 even better than it already is. AND, for the blog candy, we will draw 7 individual winners who will each receive ONE of these gifts:
Goody-Goody Gumdrops Stamp Set
Heartfelt Thanks Stamp Set
Dream a Little Stamp Set
Sweet Dreams Stamp Set
Botanical Blooms Stamp Set

Layer 2: 4 x 5 ¼”
The buzz from your sensational seven operators is that the challenge is no longer for you ~ it's for us to only pick 5 cards for the showcase, and this week, we had to settle with 6! Just so you know, we had so many cards on the list, we almost had to post them all! Isn't that fun?!?
Also ~ this week there will be a new sketchbook showing up on the side bar. This is a document that has 8 sketches per sheet, and you can print the old ones, so when you need to make a card, you can use it as a resource. Click here for a sneak peek! As a side note, I know that the sketches may print a tiny bit fuzzy, but I was trying to keep the file sizes small so it won't be difficult to download! I hope you love them.
Speaking of LOVE, here is your stampers showcase for this week! Amazing work everyone! Please click on the thumbnail in this post to visit the artist's blog and leave them some LOVE by posting a comment to their blogs!
