Let me remind you that we are drawing for blog candy this Monday. Would you like some of the pie? Check out this post and leave us some feedback to enter. Good Luck to all.
This week's sketch has a fun circle element towards the top. Take note, that this shape can be changed. You can move it so it sits on top, or leave it underneath. You can use a stamp in that spot, or whatever strikes your fancy. I think each of our operators had a very different interpretation of that circle.. Sky's the limit!
Keep in mind with any sketch challenge, it's a guide. Where you take it is up to you. After all, you are the artist!
Here's one possible set of measurements (for a card)
Layer 1: 11 x 4 1/4" scored at 5 1/2" and folded in half to make your base layer.
Layer 2: 4 1/4" x 3"
Layer 3: 4 1/4" x 1/2" (or add a piece of ribbon between the layers)
Layer 4: is that circle, but again.. Get creative with this piece.
Layer 5: sits underneath layer 6 and 7. Stamp a sentiment and punch it out?
Layer 6 and 7: If you are unsure what size to cut this layer, try measuring your block of wood for your stamp and start with that measurement. Matte's can be made 1/4" larger on two sides.
And one Last MAJOR Rule for this challenge! Please have fun!
If you've never played with us before, it's as easy as 1-2-3!
- Make a card or scrapbook page using the sketch
- Post it somewhere on line (to your blog or http://www.stampinaddicts.com/)
- Link back to your post here. ~ note, please try and link to your post, not just to your blog, so we can find your post after several days have passed.
Last but not least, here are this week's samples from your 411 operators.
