Happy Challenge Day Everybody! Take at look at the below examples carefully. This week, we all look quite different, and there's even a scrapbook page in the mix! It's so fun to take a sketch and let your imagination run free. When you play along this week, we encourage you to go as big or as small as you wish.. turn this into a 3x3 card, or into a 12x12 scrapbook page. Sky's the limit!
Since Lee's card is at the top of the examples tonight, I'm going to talk about the measurements that she might have used.
Base: 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper cut down to 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" and folded in half at 4 1/4.
(note: if you score your card stock the long way at 4 1/4 first, then make your cut, you only need to do your scoring once, and you yield two card bases from each sheet)
Layer 2: 3 3/4" x 2 3/4"
layer 3: (green layer shown below) 5 x 2 3/4"
For layers 4 and 5 and for where the ribbon will make sense to go across you need to use your stamps for size. I like to sometimes cut my paper the same size as the wood block. for layer 5, then matte it with a slightly larger piece 1/4" larger on two sides, makes an 1/8" border all the way around!
Well the operators had fun with the sketch this week and we hope that you do to if you have time to play along. We look forward to seeing your creations.
Please note: Mr. Linky closes on Wednesday night.
