Inspired!

Oh What a night! I am having trouble sleeping... I'm still too excited.

I just have to share! I am overwhelmed with joy! I noticed that at stampin up's annual convention tonight, two of our top 5, Kay and Tiffany both received awards!

And our very own Stamping 411 Operator Robin Merriman, received an award for demonstrator of the year number 72, and was named an advisory board member for the next stampin up year. There are many critera for receiving such a wonderful position, including attitude, performance and being an all around great asset to Stampin' Up!, but like Shelli Gardner shared with us tonight, it is so much more than that! Congratulations Robin! Rock on girl!

I am inspired by all the operators and by those who choose to play along with us week after week. Now, I see that some are names I recognize from playing along with us. My heart is filled with joy and I congratulate all those who received awards tonight. You are all VERY deserving and serve as an inspiration to the rest of us!

Saturday Sketch Challenge ~ 110

Happy Anniversary from the Stamping411 blog. The operators are thrilled at the response to our new blog. We have some amazing new and exciting programs to share with you. Just for playing along, you could be a guest artist on our blog! ~ More details to follow about that.. Let's talk about this week! It's been 10 weeks since we've started our weekly sketch challenges. and this week you could win a prize package brought to you from our operator Gretchen Barron.

Just for playing along, you will be entered in a drawing. At the end of the week, we'll use a random number generator and choose a winner. The winner gets to choose from ONE of these stamp sets, Punches Three, Yummy or Polka Dot Punches Plus, they will get a pack of patterned 6x6 paper! How cool is that!

Getting down to business ~ all you have to do to win, is play along. it's not about who makes the best card here.. We will reward you for simply playing! Our giveaways are always done by random number to keep it fair.

Measurements Please: One possible way to do this card would be using these measurements:

Base layer: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" to form a card base
Second layer (optional): stamp a round image, or cut a scallop circle for the variation in color on the left hand side of the card.

Run a piece of ribbon (not the whole length and cut it to create interest.. you may also add brads, or other eye candy there...

Finally, the focal point. I used a 2x3 inch piece of paper for my focal point. Try measuring your block of wood, and use that as a guide, cutting your paper to the same size.

There are no rules, just fun.. Please feel free to play along and post a link back below with mr. Linky.
